Failed in standard 10th? Deal with it.

In today's era of cut throat competition, failing in 10th standard seems like "the end" of the carrier. Just to remind that it is just a beginning of your carrier. 10th std is the minimum requirement for doing any damn thing. So if one has failed in 10th standard, the first thought that swirls through that person's mind is somewhat like this:
I failed in 10th! How will I earn? What is my future?
If you are a guy, you may even start worrying about your marriage, that no father would give you his daughter to you.

Problem about failing is10th is not limited to carrier. In many of the cases, it literally shatters the person confidence. Relatives and all sometimes add to the misery by taunting and pinching. You feel embarrassed to see your old friends just because they came out with flying colors in their 10th standard exams. Now problem has grown in the mind of the student, a psychological one.

Here I have listed out what should you do to get rid of this "dirty" feeling.

Stop thinking about what others think

What others think is not something you should be worried about. People need stuff to talk. Few will advice you, few will be happy about your condition, few will console you, few will make fun of you and these things keep going for few days and then everyone but you will forget about YOU. So don't get stressed about thinking what others are thinking. It is a real waste of time and energy.

One more try

I strongly recommend that you should again work hard with determination. Stay positive and give one more try. But this decision is really critical one. It is a matter of one full year. So if you don't feel like doing, just don't. But if I had been at your place, I would definitely give one more try.

Having passed the 10th standard enables you to have some kind of carrier options that you can think about. If you don't pass the10th options still remain but you can't get the degree. You have to do some certificate courses and develop your skill in some particular field. So you are the best judge. You know your abilities and what you really want to do.

However, its fine if you don't want to try again and go for some other options.

Accept it

Sometimes its really difficult to accept that you have failed. Your mind knows but your heart is not ready to accept it. Make peace between your heart and mind. Still there is lot you can do and you will do. It is just a small part of big game.

Be the way you were

This one is really difficult. but still do it. Just behave the way you used to. If someone tries to talk about your "failure", talk about it just like you would talk about any other thing. If you will be comfortable with yourself, people would also realize that you are bold enough. But remember never show "I don't care" attitude. You do care and you have accepted it. Tell others about your future plans and they would probably keep mum. Most of the time, they are not trying to taunt you but help you. But at such stage, mind always catches the negative frequency and takes the wrong meanings.

Ask yourself - "What I want to do?"

Next thing is to think about what you really want to do. Not passing 10th does not mean that you can't do anything. It just means that you can't get the professional degree and will have to struggle a bit and gain some  experience in some area of work. If you are interested in computers you may learn some sort of web design and work with some professional. If you know how to cook, you may join some great cooking class where you can learn and reach the zenith of your cooking artistry. There are myriad of options. Think and choose some. Remember: What ever you choose, you will have to work damn hard to get through.

Once you know what you really want to do, you won't be "blank" about your future. You will see yourself some where and that is what will help you to start working again with full gusto.

Believe in yourself

I can understand that failure of any kind is a big blow to ones confidence. But remember that you could not pass just because main stream education was not for you. Once you know what you want to do, you will see some light in darkness. Belief would be the important driving force that would help you to start and move one!

If you are reading this post because you have been through this, I wish you Good luck for your future. If you are reading this for someone who is your relative, I thank you.
